What I did over my Christmas vacation…

In the world of photography, the most exciting thing I did over the holidays was to launch my website! This has been a work in progress for quite awhile now so I am proud to say that it is finally live! Go check it out at

As far as the holidays go, we had a lot of fun with family and friends and lot of firsts in our house 🙂  I put together a little glimpse of what we did to celebrate…enjoy!

We took family pictures for our holiday card which was our first to have four members in it. Special thanks to my brother-in-law, Jim, who got this one of us.

I took one of Grandma and Papa and all the grandkids for their card.

I also got an image for Uncle Jim, Aunt Beth, Trevor, Brandon, and Abby that they used in their holiday card. I think this is one of my all-time favorites!

Paxton got to meet his Grandpa for the first time when my Dad came out from Colorado for a visit.

I had fun giving some of these Christmas images a hazy, retro look. It kinda reminded me of “A Christmas Story” without the Red Ryder, of course. We wouldn’t want Pax to shoot his eye out. In this one, we got “dressed up” for Christmas Eve service at church.

Christmas morning we made abelskivers and I think Brad enjoyed reminiscing back to when his Grandma used to make them for him. I think this will be a new Christmas morning tradition at our house 🙂

Paxton opened up his first Christmas stocking to see what Santa left for him. A monkey book and monkey teether coordinated well with his jammies. Santa must know our little monkey well.

Surprisingly enough, the new Christmas toys were actually a bigger hit than the box they came in.

Paxton got to spend some time with his cousins, Jack and Jonathan, who are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their new little sister this month!

We spent New Year’s Eve with the Boykins so Pax and Oliver got some hang out time at the park.

Paxton has now entered into a whole new world of foods that he can eat and he is adamant about having his own spoon so he can feed himself. Vegetable Korma is one of his new favorites. As you can see, bathtime now immediately follows dinnertime.

One last thing….Pax has learned how to clap! “Yay” for clapping!
