I think that Brad and I must be two of the luckiest photographers around. It seems that we get to be a part of some of the most fantastic weddings and this day was nothing less than fantastic. Emily and I went to grad school together at SDSU and met in the geography department where we were working on our Master’s degrees. I feel so lucky that our paths crossed back then…she is a gem! Then Hector came along and these two couldn’t be more perfect for each other. We absolutely adore them! You can tell from the genuine smiles and laughter in these pictures how much fun they have together. By the way, they are always this happy. We still joke about how hard it is to take a serious picture of them….we did have success this time (see the evidence below).
Their day began at the Guy Fleming trailhead in Torrey Pines State Park. Everyone hiked down (yes, Emily did in her dress and heels) to the South Overlook for the most beautiful and intimate ceremony overlooking the ocean. We were lucky enough to get pictures on the way in and the way out. On the way out, we had Em and Hector to ourselves for almost an hour to take bridal portraits. We were absolutely spoiled with the gorgeous scenery, perfectly overcast day, and two beautiful people 🙂 The reception followed at San Dieguito County Park complete with a mariachi band (accompanied by Hector’s Grandma), a piñata, a taco bar, rice krispie treats, beer, and a photobooth. Oh, and Emily made all the flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces) by hand. Amazing!
Hector & Emily, we love you guys and couldn’t be happier for you!
